To be chosen for The Princess Margaret Lottery Grand Prize Show Home is quite the honour. To be chosen by world-famous interior designer Brian Gluckstein is over the top. Gluckstein selected HanStone Quartz to be used throughout the entire Show Home.
Gluckstein described our countertops in a single word. “Beautiful”.
For the kitchen countertops and backsplash, Gluckstein chose our gorgeous Tranquility pattern. Softly veined with subtle grey streaks on a pearl white background, Tranquility is the perfect complement to Gluckstein’s design, balancing the stunning meld of greys and blacks, and making the stark whiteness of the quartz really jump.
Gluckstein also used Tranquility for the Powder Room countertop which creates a lovely contrast with the patterned walls.
For the Basement Bathroom, Gluckstein utilized Aramis – a rich grey taupe with soft, subtle flecks of darker tones.
Upstairs, the Master Ensuite Bathroom features Campina. This cloudy, foamy cream with veining in subtle taupe creates a surface that evokes feelings of softness and balance.
For Bedroom One’s Ensuite bathroom, Gluckstein chose Royal Blanc, a clear ivory that offers a simple and clean look that works with his contemporary design style.
The shared Ensuite Bathroom utilizes Celestial – a harmonious blend of soft cream veined with a subtle white pattern, creating a smooth surface that evokes strength as well as beauty.
Lastly, in the basement of the home, Leaden was used for the adorable candy counter! Turns out, HanStone Quartz can sweeten the sweets!
Since 1996, the Princess Margaret lotteries have raised over $355 million for the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, allowing it to become one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world. The Princess Margaret lotteries are the largest source of private cancer research funding in Canada and the public support of these lotteries has made a significant difference to cancer research and discovery, and will continue to be critical as Princess Margaret leads the way in Personalized Cancer Medicine.
