HanStone Soiree 2018 – An Evening of Art, Jazz and Design

Feb 20, 2019

“Inspiration can come from anywhere, at any time. When I was asked to participate in this event, I was at first, skeptical. Once I entered the space my enthusiasm for having a show in the HanStone showroom soared.” Pietro Adamo.

At HanStone Canada, we are known to throw a good party. On November 22nd, 2018, HanStone Canada’s Vaughan showroom was transformed into an upscale Art Gallery featuring works of art by renowned artist, Pietro Adamo. A carefully curated collection of over 30 pieces were displayed throughout the showroom, using HanStone Quartz slabs as their backdrop.

Colourful and vibrant paintings featuring Pop Icons from past and present such as Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson and Drake, were fan favourites, as well as equally intriguing abstract works. Inspired by the seven colours that comprise the Boutique Collection, Pietro created a unique piece for each colour-Chantilly, Yorkville, Soho, Montauk, Monterey, Whistler and Mercer as well as two concept colours, St. Laurent and Portofino. The piece de resistance, however, was “New Atlantis,” a 6’ circular panel, acrylic on wood painting that is housed permanently in the Vaughan Showroom-we highly recommend checking this piece out!

The evening would not be complete without delicious food, sumptuous cocktails and upbeat jazz music. Jazz artist Errol Fisher delighted guests with his smooth vocals and larger than life personality, and Chef Anthony Rumundi from La Cantina Catering created a culinary experience like no other. To top off the evening, Adamo Estates Winery offered a balanced selection of local wines.

With a guest list of over 300 people including media, influencers, interior designers and consumers, the event was a huge success. Whoever would have thought that the inspiration behind a painting could be a HanStone Quartz slab?
